IFAB 國際足球協會理事會官方表示先前媒體報導12碼不進不能補射的消息不正確，在年度大會上完全沒有討論這件事。

先前IFAB年度大會後，有媒體表示正規時間內的12碼球若被守門員擋下或是踢到門柱，將不允許第二次進攻機會，這個規則會先試行，也許會從業餘比賽開始。但IFAB近日出來推翻此說法，IFAB表示：媒體報導有關12碼罰球的報導並不正確，我們在年度大會上並沒有討論這件事。

先前有關足球規則修改的討論中就有提到IFAB並沒有在官網上提到此事，但依舊有許多媒體報導會試行此項規則，不過如今IFAB出來闢謠，是暫時不打算公開還是真的沒有這件事，需在等待其他報導來確認了。
